Check out the pictures from last week’s event at Sound World of Appleton, Wisconsin. Together with Sound World and our friends at Martin Logan and Audioquest, Cary Audio demonstrated the NEW DMC-600SE digital source machine switching from CD’s to various high resolution computer files along with our references SLP-05 tube preamplifier switching between the all tube CAD-211FE and solid state SA-500.1 amplifiers driving the brand new $80,000 Martin Logan Neolith speakers. The Neolith utilizes Martin Logan’s famous electrostatic panels coupled with a forward firing 12” woofer and a rear mounted 15” subwoofer. Both woofers and panel are completely passive (no internal amplifiers), meaning our Cary Audio amplifiers were driving not just the electrostatic panels but also the 12” & 15” woofers! The CAD-211FE offered plenty of power and noticeably rich bass while the SA-500.1 rocked out on more aggressive material. Sound World drew a huge crowd to the event and all was received extremely well. Most folks couldn’t believe their ears as we were driving the Neolith’s a majority of the time with about 100 tube watts thanks to spectacular CAD-211FE’s! Kudos to the Sound World team for a great event!
