Every sound system is unique in its own way. Audiophiles try countless configurations to come up with the "killer" system of their dreams. We tweak, and tune and experiment to get the most out of the sources to get the best possible reproduction of music we can. Well, we want to see what your system looks like and hear where your Cary Audio products fit in. It doesn't have to be an exclusively all Cary system, but that wouldn't hurt either. So get out your camera, set the lights and get cracking. Here is your chance to show off the rig you have worked so hard on, and to tell others what makes it so special.

This month we are looking at the home theater of JH of Australia. His beautiful home theater features a Cinema 11a Pre-Pro with the Cinema 5, 200w amplifier. 

Equipment-

A Cary Cinema 5 Power Amplifier was chosen to drive the speakers in combination with the Cary Cinema 11A Home Cinema Audio Processor. Cary was chosen for its remarkable ability to deliver extremely clean musical sound with all of the latest audio codecs including DTS HDMA. It simply surpassed all other high end separates that were tested (including some ultra expensive units) in audio quality, and musicality. A better heart for the system could not be found.  A THX Ultra II speaker system was specified and installed with a Screen Research Clear Pix II acoustically transparent screen that met both THX and ISF certification. Six bass traps were designed and installed to smooth in room bass response. Absorptive panels were installed in the room at the first reflection points on the walls and ceilings. Diffusive panels were custom designed and installed at the appropriate points on the walls to create the ideal acoustical space. The end result of this extensive acoustical work is a room that is highly accurate for movie watching and listening. Final tuning and calibration of the audio system was completed via the Audyssey 8 channel digital equalizer. Measurements were taken at 8 listening locations and correction applied for each measurement to ensure a smooth flat frequency response for each participant.
