T.H.E. SHOW 2015 in Newport,California marked a turning point for Cary Audio. We showed and demonstrated a new era and first in preamplifier design for Cary Audio.
Today, we’re seeing a demand for more unified and integrated units that take up less space, and enhanced cosmetics with all the performance of our classic products. The new TL-300d is full function vacuum tube analog line level preamplifier boasting 8 tubes, a combination of 12AX7’s and 12AU7’s, in addition to 6 digital inputs including, USB, aptX Lossless Bluetooth, 2- coaxial,1-Toslink and AES/EBU. Now one preamplifier can do it all, and boy does it! How about native 32/384 and DSD 64,128,256 support? How about selectable up sampling any non USB source to one 1 of 10 sample rates including converting PCM to any DSD rate? Really! Our room setup was purposely minimalistic with just the TL-300d with our CAD-120SmkII providing the power. Once again, we partnered with our friends at Tannoy showing off the exceptional Revolution XT-8F loudspeaker and Wire World Eclipse 7 speaker and interconnect cables.
As expected, folks were floored at the performance and flexibility of the TL-300d along with the front panel window showing off the tubes bathed in a calming blue light in a closed chassis. Attendees couldn’t get enough of the bluetooth function, asking to connect their devices and gasping at the sound questioning, “is this really coming from my phone?” Today folks want simplicity. This it what we set out to do at T.H.E. SHOW 2015 and accomplished it with aplomb! Why be like everyone else showing their most expensive gear in a small space not fit for real world applications? Our entire system cost less then most exhibitors speaker cables!
